Inauguration Day

Not my best effort today. I was in a hurry and the wind wasn't cooperating. I wanted something patriotic to show for inauguration day (Jan. 20th) this is what I came up with. Thought about a wordle but didn't want to cop out on the idea of me taking the picture. May go ahead and do that too. My impressions of the day: I allowed the students to watch the fesitivities all day long. Shared with them some of my impressions of the day and asked them to share theirs. They impressed me. Ninth graders (at least most) "get it". I was very very proud to be an American today. Nice to see how well behaved the enormous crowd was and how moved the people were to experience it first hand. I am also very proud that there were no overt acts of racism or negative actions. And I fervently pray that none will occur.

Wordle: inaugural address

As the wordle depicts "Today, America New Nation" were the major words...I hope it will be.

  1. I am glad you posted the wordle. One of my favorite word analysis sites and notice how I is not even in the picture?

  2. Very thoughtful tribute - we can all be proud...but we all must also be accountable for making it happen!! Nice wordle, too! :)

  3. I struggled with this too... wanted to post about the day... but had a hard time getting a picture. It was a great idea to take a picture of the flag. I too, made a wordle... don't you love how big the word "Nation" stands out?
