For the non-botanical crowd this is an individual seed of the Butterfly weed plant that grows in my butterfly garden. The furry things help them to float in the wind and be dispersed away from the mother plant. But this guy and the one below seem to be hanging on for dear life. So, Hanging by a Thread seems appropriate.

Hanging by a Thread
At times life gets so hectic that we need something to remind us to slow down, stop, and "smell the roses." It is a long time before roses will be blooming here but I think looking at this picture will remind me just the same. For the non-botanical crowd this is an individual seed of the Butterfly weed plant that grows in my butterfly garden. The furry things help them to float in the wind and be dispersed away from the mother plant. But this guy and the one below seem to be hanging on for dear life. So, Hanging by a Thread seems appropriate.
