Today's assignment was to photograph something I like to do....hmmmm!
I apparently inherited the gift of quilting from my paternal grandmother. I can remember sorting scraps for her while waiting on the school bus and "helping" her cut out pieces for her quilts. I was never allowed to actually quilt though. My stitches weren't small enough. Another fond memory is of me and a couple of cousins lying in the floor looking up at the ceiling light through a quilt still in a frame. What a kalediscope of colors!
This particular quilt is a sampler because it has log cabin blocks, pine tree blocks, and bear paw blocks(not pictured).
